Bengaluru, Apr 18: BJP is likely to release its third list of prospective candidates for the assembly election in Karnataka today. The list, it is learnt, will be made public once the names chosen are discussed with national president of the party, Amit Shah, and his approval is obtained for the same.
Although a meeting had been scheduled to be held on Tuesday April 17 night here and it was to be chaired by Amit Shah, the meeting was postponed on account of Shah's delayed arrival. In the meanwhile, state BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa, held meeting with other state level leaders about the list.

The discussions also centred on revolt experienced within the party after the release of its two earlier lists, leaders who are leaving the party to join JD(S), and also the discontentment brewing within the Congress party over the list released by it. Taking cue from past experience, the leaders have decided to release the third list after carefully considering pros, cons, and political equations.
Yeddyurappa in the meantime, said that the third list of the party would be released on Wednesday after holding discussions with the party's national president.
