Mangaluru, Apr 15: A 40-year-old man allegedly committed suicide at Kulshekar here late night on Saturday April 14.
The deceased has been identified as Maxim Lobo, a resident of Melthota, Kulshekar.
He allegedly ended his life by hanging himself from his goods vehicle.
Sources said that on Saturday night, he had a quarrel with his wife after which he went out. He did not return home thereafter, and on Sunday April 15, his body was found hanging in the goods vehicle.
On April 11, he had recorded a video of himself stating that he was being mentally tortured by some relatives because of which he wanted to end his life. He sent the video to a cousin who was close to him, but he did not attempt suicide then.
Maxim is survived by his wife Akshata and 6-year-old son Anson. He was a tempo driver by profession.
Police arrived at the spot and the body has been shifted to hospital for postmortem.
A case has been registered in Kankanady police station.
