Puttur: Moral policing - Bajrang Dal leader arrested for disrupting student’s birthday party

Puttur, Apr 13: In yet another incident of moral policing, a Bajrang Dal leader tried to disrupt a birthday party at a restaurant here.  

The leader Sridhar Tenkila was arrested by the Puttur police on Tuesday April 10.

Some students from Vivekananda College were celebrating a birthday party at a restaurant on Tuesday afternoon.  The right wing leader Sridhar Tenkila along with 10 others barged into the restaurant and created ruckus alleging that one of the students belonged to a minority community. They also phoned the nearest police station and warned of untoward incident if they did not stop the party.

Immediately police rushed to the restaurant for the investigation. The police sent the students to the college as they found nothing wrong at the party.

Police said that Tenkila has been booked under IPC section 107 for creating ruckus and attempting to disrupt the party.

Tenkila and two others were taken into custody, while two others are on the run.

Puttur Town police have taken up the case and the investigation is underway.

    In Uttar Pradesh Hindus in large voted for BJP thinking that CM Yogi will make the state 'Uttam Pradesh'.
    Now one year passed state has recorded highest number of rapes,encounters,dacoities and stood top for communal violence in whole of India.
    Today if one travel from two big cities of Uttar Pradesh one can see the abandon cow being sitting in the middle of the express highways and many of 'Gau Mata' are run over by heavy vehicles and worst is for the farmers who have to wake up to protect the standing crops invaded by these hound of cows.
    This Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh affiliated militant wing Bajrang Dal interfering in private party is against the constitution of India. Unless this moral police don't given the taste of own language this attacks will continue forever. It is the citizen of Mangalore who need to act wisely and unitedly to crush this mischief mongers. If not protested today they my emboldened to enter our houses tomorrow.
    Unfortunately this is the same organisation is know seaking votes in your door step.
    I appeal to Kannadigas to be wise and cast your vote more decisively.Today in Uttar Pradesh even brother and sister travelling on motorbikes need to prove their fathers are same. Tomorrow it may be our turn if we elect these parties.
    Smart city need smart people. Please outsmart these religious mongers to kick forever to save our India for all.
    Lastly, Do law enforcement authorities have rights to stop the private party if nothing is wrong?
    Why the authority don't recommend the state Home Ministry to ban this organisation which disrupt the public life?

    Aap aur aapki ideology kabhi sudregi nahi. You should condemn of what has happened. Instead of that, you are giving a lecture on Gurukul system. Which is not only difficult but impossible to implement in today's world.
    The government of India is lead by Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi is from the party called BJP. And you are a true follower of BJP which can be sensed by your comments. Hence please recommend the central government on implementation of Gurukul system. Let us see what answer you will get from central Government.

    Being educated you should be balanced in life with your views. The imbalance will lead to disaster.
    When it comes to yogi you are saying let the investigation complete (not ready to accept at one shot and you have not even condemned that incident) but when it comes opposite you will conclude stating of crime without completion of the investigation. ANd even Yogis regime the crimes haven't come down. But you are not ready to accept the fact. That is fine. Cant help it with your denial.

    And a sincere suggestion please don't create any sort of Hype through your comments which is inappropriate to do so. All are equal here. We belong to the Human community and there is no restriction to celebrate the birthday. No one has right to get into these things and kinds of stuff.     Dear BD (and also other custodians of twisted morality),
    I am a peaceful person and do not intend to get in trouble with all these morality issues. Hence, I just want to prepare a checklist to ensure that I reduce the risk of getting into trouble as low as possible.
    I know that a man and women from two different communities mingling together in restaurants / cinemas / parks is a strict NO-NO to you guys. But what else is prohibited under your pious / ideal Hindu society?
    1. If I have a heart attack, is it OK if the treating doctors / nurses are from different community than mine? Or should I insist on a doctor / nurse from my community;
    2. If I take a flight from Bajpe, is it OK if the pilot is from a different community? Or should I specifically insist on a pilot of my community before entering the plane?
    3. During elections, is it OK if I vote for a good candidate from different community? Or should I myself contest the election to at least ensure that I voted for my community?
    4. If I go to a “massage parlour”, is it OK if a lady from different community gives me a “massage”? Or should I just refuse to be served by unless a lady from my community is available?

    Who is that Sridar Tenkila? Who has autorised him to raid the hotel? Who is he to question the college students who were celebrating some birthday party? This is not moral policing, it is nothing but immoral policing. Somebody should write to PM Modi and Amit Shah about this incident. Why the sangh parivar allows Bajrang Dal to do goondagiri? They have already spoiled the name of peaceful DK district. SP should order the local police officers to take stringent action against Sridar Tenkila and othe Bajrang Dal ativists who disrupted the birthday party. This time people of DK wont vote for any BJP candidate in DK for sure. This is is the only way to teach them a lesson.
