Mangaluru, Apr 13: A gang which gatecrashed into a bar at Talapady on Wednesday April 12, beat up two employees of the bar and robbed cash and liquor bottles from there. These incidents have been captured by CCTV cameras.
Employees of the bar, identified as Praveen and Sujith, were injured in this incident. Locals, Nichchu Sandesh, Rahul, Ganesh, Ramanand, Kiran, Shiva and some others were members of the 12-member gang which attacked the bar, it is reported.
Two persons, who approached Athithi Bar in Talapady Devipura late night on April 10, had demanded liquor. The bar staff had told them that liquor cannot be issued after 11 pm. Angered by the response, they broke the window glasses of the bar and got involved with exchange of heated words with the staff of the bar. At this, Ullal police were informed. When the police arrived, one of them fled, and the other, identified as Soma, was taken into custody. A motor bike belonging to Nichchu which was found at the spot was taken into possession by the police.
Revenge act
As a revenge for this incident, a gang of youth led by Nichchu entered the bar and ransacked things, it is said. Some members of the gang were wearing helmets, while some more had covered their faces with clothes.
Ullal police, who have registered a case, have planned to nab accused.
