Bengaluru, Apr 7: The fate of 8.54 lac students who appeared for their SSLC examination, that concluded on Friday, April 6 without any issues, will be decided on May 7. The results will be available in all the high schools on May 8. Similarly, steps are being taken to announce the PUC results at the end of April.
In total 8,54,424 students belonging to 14,385 high schools have written the SSLC examinations this year. There were 33 subjects and seven instruction mediums in which the examinations were conducted in 2817 centres across the state. SSLC board will announce the results on the evening of May 7 on the internet and will send the information to respective high schools on the same day. The results will be available in all schools on May 8.
Valuation of answer papers
Valuation of the answer papers of SSLC examination will begin from April 16. Joint chief valuation officer and deputy chief valuation officers will be present at district-wise and subject-wise valuation centres on April 15. On the same day training will be provided to the teachers on 'Key Answer' and 'Scheme of Evaluation'. Assistant valuators will arrive at the valuation centres on April 16. The valuation will be carried on till April 25. Within ten days the entire evaluation process will get completed as per the information given by Tanveer Sait, minister for primary and high school education.
PUC results in the third week of April
The answer paper evaluation work of second PUC will be over on April 11. CET examination will be on April 18 and 19. Generally, it is a tradition to announce the PUC results after the completion of the CET examination every year. Thought the minister is saying that the PUC results will be announced in the last week of April, it is possible to announce them before the end of the month between April 23 and 25th. This is as per the information given by officers of the education department.
No leakage of question papers for two consecutive years
Tanveer Sait, minister for primary and high school education said, "'Karnataka Secured Examination System' that was implemented last year is a success this year too. Due to this, it was possible to put an end to the leakage of SSLC and PUC question papers and also other malpractices. Due to the examination improvement actions that were introduced in four phases, students could write the examinations without any fear,"
"It is a great achievement on the part of the education department to have announced the SSLC examination time table a good five months before examination and also distribution hall tickets online and all the procedures in a transparent and digital manner. It is important to note that the examinations are conducted in such a way that lacs of students and their parents of our state did not panic at any given time,"
Karnataka method of examination is a model to the nation
The minister further said, "The 'Karnataka Secured Examination System' implemented by the state government is a model to the whole nation. NCERT and CBSE have asked information about this system. The barcoding of the question papers that is followed in Karnataka state is not implemented in any other state in India. Now CBSE is going to introduce this in their examination system,"
"Re-examination is being conducted in New Delhi and Haryana due to the leakage of question papers of CBSE examination. Generally, during the re-examination, the question paper will be relatively easy. This will result in injustice to the students of other states,"
"A leader of ABVP is arrested in the case relating to the leakage of CBSE question paper. This kind of question paper leakage in CBSE examinations in the states where BJP is in power has created suspicion on the whole CBSE system itself. Crores of students and their parents are facing mental agony due to this."
