Bengaluru, Apr 4: The statement given by BJP national president Amit Shah that BJP has no connection with mining brothers of Bellary has put the Reddy brothers in a fix and has made them think seriously about their future.
In the meantime, the situation of the Member of Parliament (MP) Sriramulu is really agonizing as he is close to the Reddy brothers and cannot go against the ruling of the party president also.
Sriramulu has appealed to the leaders of BJP to have a soft corner for the Reddy brothers. For the same reason, he met BJP state chief Yeddyurappa and it is learnt that he has begged him not to let down Janardhan Reddy.

It is gathered from reliable sources that Yeddyurappa said to Sriramulu that "I cannot do anything as the order has come from Amit Shah not to include Janardhan Reddy in party activities. Amit Shah might have told this to prevent opposition party from making this as a weapon to attack BJP during the upcoming assembly elections. Let Janardhan Reddy maintain silence now. Let him work for the party in his own capacity without making his presence felt in public. I assure that I will speak to the high command and give him position once all the cases on Reddy are cleared,"
In the midst of this, Sriramulu has demanded that he be given a party ticket to contest in the forthcoming assembly elections from any one of the constituencies of Bellary, Raichur or Belagavi. He has also put forth a demand asking the party to let Somashekar Reddy contest from Bellary city constituency.
It is learnt that Yeddyurappa has clarified in strict terms that Amit Shah will decide with regards to party ticket. It will be difficult if MLCs and MPs make any demand for tickets.
