Udupi: Summer heat continues, light drizzle in some places

Udupi, Mar 31: Summer heat has continued in the coastal districts though some places experienced light drizzle on Friday, March 30.

Mangaluru and other parts of Dakshina Kannada district had cloudy weather with no drop in summer heat.

Kundapur and some parts of Udupi district received a light drizzle in the afternoon. The area around Manchi in Udupi and Honkal, near Belve in Kundapur taluk experienced the sprinkling of water droplets from the unexpected drizzle.

Several parts of south interior Karnataka received rain. Hassan, Nelamangala, and Huliyoordurga received one cm of rain.

Coastal region and north interior parts of the state were experiencing dry weather. The mercury was slightly above the normal in some parts of north and south interior region of the state.

In the coastal region, the temperature was more or less usual for this season. While Kalaburagi recorded the highest temperature of 42.3 °C, Bidar had the lowest temperature of 17.6 °C.

As per the weather forecast, there is a probability of rain with thunder in some places of south interior Karnataka till the morning of Sunday, April 1.
