Udupi: Two men die in Malpe after bike skids at night

Udupi, Mar 29: Two men died after the bike on which they travelled skidded on the road at around 1.30 am on Thursday, March 29.

Carpenter Santosh (29) and fisherman Lokesh (27) are the two deceased persons. Both of them were residents of Badanidiyuru.

As per details, they had told their families that they would come back home after a film show. But at around 1.30 am, they were found lying on the road after their bike skidded opposite Syndicate Bank in Malpe.

Doctors at the hospital said Santosh was brought dead. Lokesh, who was admitted to the hospital, breathed his last on Thursday morning after he did not respond to treatment.

    don't blame high beams and other things... first thing, I suspect the two people drivers.... very very reckless driving .... we see everyday. they threat you like anything... zig zag .... just enter face to face.... OMG. So, I don't know about this exact case... but can't blindly assume it's because of high beam or opponent vehicle... could be...

    Must ban using high beam lights.Its make you full blind.In highways when vehicle is approaching put low beam lights. Rest in peace.

    Few things can be avoided,

    a)Driving without seat belt or Helmet in bike.
    b)Driving or riding bike after drunk alcohol.
    c) Using mobile phones while driving.
