Riyadh: Indian Oger Team Wins Asia Cup-2008

Riyadh, Aug 18: Indian Oger Cricket Club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has won the Asia Cup-2008. The tournament was organized by Saudi Oger Cricket club at in Taif, Saudi Arabia, in which four Asian Countries-India, Pakistan, Srilanka and Bangladesh-had participated. The Cricket Club kept its track record intact for the second time also as it had triumphed in the last year also.

The final play-off was held between Indian Oger Cricket Club and Pakistan Oger Cricket Team, in which IOCC (Indian Oger Cricket Club) trounced POCT (Pakistan Oger Cricket Team) in a tough match. The team members demonstrated a striking show in the play-off that made them exultant winning the Trophy in the midst of round of applause by the audience.

IOCC, which included mostly of Mangaloreans, is known for its excellent and star performance in the cricket field. Ummer Manchila led the team and expressed his thankfulness to all his team members for winning the Asia Cup-2008.
 
Ummer Manchila, Aslam Mumbai, Sebastian Malappuram, Puttu Bawa Ullal, Nisar Gulbarga, Rasheed Mumbai, Iliyas Ullal, Majeed Hyderabad, Fazal Alekala, Althaf Hyderabad, Rizwan Mumbai, Khaleel Ullal, Khader Gujarat, Nasir Kollam, Ashfaq and others were the team members of IOCC.
