Melwyn Peris enthralls music fans in Goa with fundraiser nite

Margao, Feb 11: It was a memorable evening for fans of Konkani music as Saturday February 10 as veteran singer Melwyn Peris presented yet another enchanting musical nite at Ravindra Bhavan here. The event was organized by Carmelite Fathers of Goa to raise funds for the construction of retreat house 'Divine Springs'.

Deputy Chief Minister of Goa Vijay Sardedai was the chief guest. Carmelite Assistant General from Rome Rev Dr Johannes Goranrla, Carmelite Provincial (Bangalore) Fr Charles Serrao, Fr Archibald Gonsalves, Fr John Sequeira, Prince Jecob, John D Silva, and Melwyn Peris were present on the dias.

Accompanying Yodelling King Melwyn Peris, popular singers from Mangaluru, Rony Crasta, Robin Sequeira, Roshan Angelore, Melster Peris, Kenny Pereira, Shilpa Cutinha, Zeena Pereira, Melwyn Fernandes, Oswald Sequeira, Rajesh and Jerome Coelho enthralled the gathering with melodious songs.

Comedy artistes Prince Jacob and John D’Silva gave a Goan touch to the programme with their hilarious skits.

Well-known musician Joel Pereira received a full hearted appreciation for the music of the event.

Mesmerizing dance numbers from Nach Sobhann dancers, Mangaluru was another attraction of the event.

Jerry Rasquinha from Mangaluru compered the event.
