Hassan DC transfer row: Audio of KPCC vice-president emerges

Daijiworld Media Network - Hassan

Hassan, Jan 24: A day after the sudden transfer of Hassan deputy commissioner Rohini Sindhuri Dasari was stayed after it kicked up a political storm, a telephone conversation allegedly between Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) vice-president B Shivaram and Dalit and Chelur taluk SP Morcha leader Kumar has emerged, raising eyebrows on who would have benefited from the transfer.

The 4.4 minute audio making rounds on social networking sites purportedly reveals that Hassan district in-charge minister A Manju as well as B Shivaram may have a hand in the transfer.

While the CM has maintained that Sindhuri was 'transferred for administrative purposes', the BJP and the JD(S) say the transfer is politically motivated just before the mega event of Mahamastakabhisheka at Shravanabelagola in February.

According to sources, differences between A Manju and Sindhuri cropped up regarding the works to be taken up for the Mahamastakabhisheka.

BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa took to Twitter to express his disappointment. "Having been instrumental in making arrangements for Mahasmastakabhisheka event in Shravanabelagola, transfer of Hassan DC Rohini Sindhuri is unceremonious. No place for honest & upright officers in @siddaramaiah govt?," he wrote.

The Election Commission on Tuesday January 23 stayed the Karnataka government’s decision of transferring Sindhuri and five other IAS officers till the final publication of the electoral rolls on February 28.

The state government had transferred Sindhuri, who was posted as Hassan deputy commissioner hardly six months ago, and also the deputy commissioners of Ramanagaram and Haveri districts along with other IAS officers.

Now a days height of media usage. Use Bureaucrats, Judiciary etc for convincing or confusing the innocent public for 5 years of power. All educated must ignore these doctored audio and video games. Transfers are fully administrative and let them happen. Public work should not suffer.
