Bantwal, Jan 9: The police on Tuesday January 9 arrested two right-wing activists for allegedly barging into the house of lady belonging to SC community and warning her and her family, and pushing her.
The arrested Umesh (33), an auto driver and Ramesh (48) who runs a small restaurant.
Two others involved in the case, including Umesh's brother Rajesh, are absconding. All of them are right-wing activists, said the police.
As per a complaint filed in Bantwal rural police station, the four accused barged into the house of SC lady and warned her that her daughter should not speak to Muslim boys. They also allegedly pushed her and had a fight with her family members.
The accused also allegedly threatened the family and told them to leave the village if they want to survive.
The two accused who have been arrested will be produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
Bantwal rural police registered a case. Hunt is on for the absconding accused.
