Puttur: Protest against rural station staff - AC promises to send report

Puttur, Jan 5: Accusing rural police station house officer, Abdul Khader, and staff, Chandra, Karunakar and Suresh, of owning anti-Hindu stance, Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti has been holding protest in the city. Local assistant commissioner, M K Prameela, held disussions with the office bearers of the Samiti on Thursday January 4.

She asked the Samiti to provide written information about incidents which have happened at the rural station since the last two years, so that she could send a report thereof to the government.

During the protest demonstration by way of road blockade organized in front of the rural police station on Thursday January 4, the protesters explained to the AC about the atrocities and anti-Hindu policies followed during the last two years by station house officer, Adul Khader, and staff, Chandra, Karunakar, and Suresh. She was also appraised of the serial protests held from December 25 to January 1 on this issue, Hindu awareness meet held in the city on January 2 and also about rightful demands approved at the meet.

The AC also summoned local deputy superintendent of police, Srinivas, to her room and collected details from him.

President of the Samiti, Chanila Thimmappa Shetty, leader, Gopalakrishna Herle, municipal vice president, B Vishwanath Gowda, taluk panchayat members, Shivarnjan, Radhakrishna Borkar, Sahaj Rai Balajja, and Chandrashekhar Rao Bappalige, and ohers were present.
