Mangaluru, Dec 30: Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner (DC) Sasikanth Senthil has ordered to extern two rowdies from the district.
Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) activist Ratnakar Shetty and Popular Front of India (PFI) leader Kaleel, both residents of Kalladka, are the persons who have received the orders to remain away from the district for a period of six months for instigating communal riots.
“Both of them are involved in several criminal cases and are in the list of rowdies in Bantwal rural police station. Rowdy sheets have been opened against them in the police station. Both of them had attacked each other in June this year which led to communal riots,” said superintendent of police Sudheer Kumar Reddy.

The orders for the rowdies to stay out of Dakshina Kannada were issued on Friday, December 29 after several hearings.
The application to extern these two was pending with the deputy commissioner for the last two months.
