Udupi: Sick child falls off motor bike with mother, loses life

Udupi, Dec 27: A six-month-old child, which was seriously injured in a tragic accident that happened on Tuesday December 26, died although it was rushed to a local hospital immediately. The victim was Sandeep, son of Eramma, residing at Shantinagar, Badagubettu, Manipal.

A relative, Veeresh, was taking Eramma and her child, Sandeep, to the government hospital near Lord Venugopal temple at Manipal in his motor bike as the child was suffering from high fever. Reportedly because of rash driving and over-speeding, Eramma fell down the vehicle along with the child at Shantinagar on the way from Bhavani Nagar to Manipal. The child suffered serious internal injuries because of the fall. The child was immediately taken to hospital.

The doctors who examined Sandeep said that he had already breathed his last. A case about this incident was registered in Manipal police station.
