Bengaluru, Dec 23: It is gathered that the BJP think tank in the state is positively considering the proposal to make best use of the image and following Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, enjoys. It is said that it wants to make Modi address some rallies, not less than two to three, in each of the seven zones of the state during the months immediately preceding the assembly election.
The BJP core committee will be meeting on December 26. In all possibility, it will chalk out a strategy to stimulate the population to back the party's campaign through rallies. This programme is likely to be taken up immediately after the Parivartana Yatra that is in progress currently concludes next month. This Yatra that is 80-days-long, and which touches all the 224 assembly constituencies in the state, will end on a grand note with a rally being held in the city on January 28. Modi will be addressing this rally.
The state leaders want Modi to buoy the voters through his addresses in rallies regularly. Modi is known to be a crowd puller, and his 34 rallies in Gujarat, it is assumed, played a stellar role in helping BJP to retain power in that state. The leaders are of the opinion that it would be highly rewarding for the party if Modi begins his addresses quite early and keeps up the tempo thereafter till the assembly election.
BJP national president, Amit Shah, has already made known of his plans to stay put in the city as long as possible from February onward, as he is determined to ensure the party's success in the election. He will be leading from the front for BJP's run up to the election and will help out with election-related strategies. BJP feels that Modi's magic will work and his addresses can keep the party workers in a mood of belligerence towards winning the election, if he is seen and heard as often as possible.
