Kasargod, Dec 23: A man, who had been posing threats to his daughter who is 17 now and making use of her for deriving sexual pleasure since the last eight years, was taken into custody by the police personnel of the town station here.

The police got information that the man in question has been sexually harassing his daughter from his second wife. The family lives in a rented house in the city. The accused, aged 56, who has been arrested, reportedly used to pose death threats to the girl, who is a second PU student now, to force her to succumb to his lust.

The incident came to light when the teachers of the school where the girl studies, questioned the girl after observing that she appeared to be sick for long. As soon as the teachers passed on this information, the police took the accused into custody and began to interrogate him. The police said that the person in question would be booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
