Dr G Parameshwara
Pasha is heard saying that Congress is in talks with SDPI regarding alliance. “In fact see we have given official declaration that SDPI will be contesting in 50 seats. So as per my updates, wherever we have the Muslim majority votes there Congress will be supporting us. This is to stop division of the votes. That is the update I can give you only after confirming, not now,” he is heard saying.
Denying the alliance, Dr Parameshwara on twitter wrote, “I would like to clarify that there has been no alliance whatsoever with SDPI or any other political organisation. Times Now, has been spewing lies. This is a clear attempt to disrupt Congress' political stronghold in Karnataka,”
The Karnataka Congress official handle also responded to the news, “There have been no talks of an alliance with anyone. Times Now is peddling lies. Congress in Karnataka is against communal elements of all hues.”
Mazambil Pasha too has lashed out at the news channel in a series of tweets and accused them for “unfair journalism” and “manipulating news to make BJP a beneficiary”.
