Kundapur: Freak accident - dog crosses biker's path, causes death

Kundapur, Dec 18: In an accident which happened here early morning on Sunday December 17, a motor bike rider was killed. As per information, a dog suddenly crossed the path of the motor bike, and the rider, in an attempt to avoid hitting the animal, dashed against the divider and lost his life.

The deceased was Rohan (29), residing near Goddess Mahishamardini temple in Bailoor here. At around 3.30 pm on Sunday, he was coming home on his motor bike when a dog suddenly passed across his vehicle opposite KFC in Laxmindra Nagar. Rohan instantly applied the brake, as a result of which the motor bike went out of his control and hit the road divider on the right side with force. He fell down along with the motor bike and suffered serious injuries. The gravity of his injuries resulted in Rohan's death.

A case about the accidental death was filed at Manipal police station.
