Bantwal, Dec 13: Thieves entered Vijaya Bank, Urimajalu, Idkidu after breaking the door here on Tuesday night, December 12. However, they were unable to break the locker.
Forensic experts and canine squad visited the bank and undertook investigation. A case has been registered at Vittal police station.
It is learnt that thieves have been repeatedly targeting cooperative societies and banks for theft in Vittal police station limits. While the news of thieves entering the cooperative society in Mangalapadavu near Vittal a few weeks ago is fresh, there were attempted thefts in Salethoor vicinity here on Monday night.
