Mangaluru: ‘Ray of Hope’ cultural event by Saanidhya School on Dec 9

Mangaluru, Dec 6: Saanidhya Residential School is all set to organize a cultural event titled ‘Ray of Hope - 2017’ in aid of Saanidhya Shashwath Home at Town Hall on December 9, informed Vasanth Kumar Shetty, administrator, Saanidhya Residential School and Training Centre for the Mentally Challenged.

Addressing media on Wednesday December 6, Vasanth Kumar Shetty said, “The event will be inaugurated by deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil. This will be a fun-filled event where children from Saanidhya will enact Yakshagana ‘Mahishi Moksha’. There will be fashion show and group dance as well. Artistes from Mangaluru and Bengaluru will perform orchestra, natya lahari and ‘Stargirls’ will enthrall the audience with their dance performances.

“Well known artistes from the district as well as nearby districts and the neighboring state of Kerala along with our talented students of Saanidhya will present a great day of entertainment,” he said.

“Saanidhya wishes to provide lifelong care for mentally challenged adults. In 2016, Shree Ganesh Seva Trust started a gigantic project called ‘Saanidhya Shashwath’ to provide lifelong care with all the facilities to differently-abled adults at a cost of Rs 5 crore. We hope to raise funds from philanthropists, donors and well wishers
of Saanidhya,” he added.

President Mahabala Marla, treasurer Jagadish Shetty and trustee Mohammed Basheer were present.
