Karkala, Nov 30: “The profession of a doctor is extremely important. Doctors should develop administrative skills along with professional skills and serve the patients,” said vice chancellor of Nitte university Dr Sathish Bhandary.
He spoke at a workshop held for professional doctors on November 25 and 26 at Nitte education international under the aegis of center for executive development of Justice K S Hegde organization. He later distributed certificates to doctors who took part in the workshop.
Developing management skills and molding successful doctors in this era of competition was the aim of the workshop.
Fourteen doctors from Nitte University, four from Yenepoya, two from SDM and five from other local organizations made use of the workshop.
Nitte University co-chancellor Dr M S Moodithaya, Nitte justice K S Hegde management institute professors Dr Sudhir Raj K and Dr Radhakrishna Sharma, Care group hospital CEO Dr Mudith and Dr Ravindranath Shanbhag were the resource persons.
Justice K S Hegde management institute's Dr A P Achar (dean of corporate programme), Dr Ashalatha and Jnaneshwar Pai conducted the workshop.
