Mangaluru Nov 28: The district BJP staged a protest outside DC office on Tuesday November 28 against ministers K J George and Vinay Kulkarni over their involvement in DySP Ganapathy suicide and the alleged role in the murder of BJP activist respectively.
Addressing the protestors BJP district president Sanjeeva Matandur said, "The two ministers K J George and Vinay Kulkarni should have been sacked from the cabinet immediately, over involvement in DySP Ganapathy suicide and alleged role in the murder of BJP activist respectively, but instead, the government is safeguarding these ministers. Our country is heading toward being a super power nation, but on the other hand Karnataka is a forerunner in corruption, suicide, debt, political murder. This indicates that law and order have utterly failed in the state as seen in the failure to nab the culprits of Kalburgi and Gauri Lankesh. Police are in the clutches of these ministers and due to pressure DySP Ganapathy committed suicide, Anupama Shenoy was forced to resign and few others are voluntarily resigning. We urge the government to provide justice for DySP Ganapathy."
BJP leader Yogish Bhat said, "The cabinet is filled with corrupt ministers and we demand that all cases be handed over to CBI. As CID is under the state government there has been misuse and a clean chit has been given to the culprits. So it is better to hand over the case to CBI. We will make sure that the failure of the state government reaches the people and that the government exists for only four months. We are certain that they will then return home.
