Beltangady, Nov 22: A motor bike that had been left by two young men in Barya village about six weeks back was handed over to Uppinangady police on Tuesday November 21. Reportedly, the bike riders had parked the vehicle in front of a shop at Anepalla in Barya village, duly telling the shopkeeper that fuel in the vehicle had been exhausted, and that they would come back to pick it up.
The provision store in front of which the two-wheeler was left, belongs to Gunakar Poojary. Poojary says that the two men who left the motor bike there had promised to come back next day with petrol to pick the vehicle.
As the young men never turned up to claim their vehicle for over six weeks, Gunakar Pojary grew suspicious. He informed the police. As per the suggestion given by the police, he brought the motor bike in a three-wheeler to the police station and handed over to the police. The police said that as per the records of regional transport office, the vehicle belongs to Abdul Rahiman from Bagalody, Tekkar village in this taluk.
