Kasargod, Nov 21: BJP Manjeshwar Mandal unit secretary, Muralidhar Yadav Naykapu, asked the government to bring to book those who keep desecrating Hindu religious centres, give rise to disturbances in the society, and also those who support such activities. "If the government fails to bring these activities under control, Hindu organizations may have to come together to take remedial steps," he warned.
He was speaking after inaugurating a mega protest programme held on the evening of Sunday November 19 at Hosangady, to protest against illegal entry of certain persons into Goddess Kalikaprameshwari temple,Bangramanjeshwar, desecration of the place and theft attempt. The programme held with the coming together of several pro-Hindu organizations.
He demanded for the immediate arrest of the culprits by the police. "If the police are unable to do so, Hindu organizations will be brought together, memorandums will be presented to different government departments, before launching the protest plan," he explained.
District president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Angara Sripad, presided. Sangh Chalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dinesh Madappura, district joint Karvaha, Lokesh Jodukallu, president of Kalikaparameshwari temple committee, Polya Umesh Acharya, managing trustee, Vankataramana Acharya Muligadde, Batteri Padmanabha Acharya and several other activists werer present.
Sri Kalahastendra Swamiji and Kondevoor Math Yoganada Saraswati Swamiji visited the temple and condemned the incident.
