Bantwal: Driver killed on spot as car strays from path, hits three vehicles

Bantwal, Nov 19: A car which went out of control of its driver, hit three vehicles before coming to a halt after smashing into an electric pole.

In this accident, driver of the car, Rakesh Naik (28) from Babanakatte in Netlamudnoor village lost his life.

Rakesh was employed in Neralakatte Agricultural Service Cooperative Bank. He was moving to B C Road in his car for office work on Saturday Novemher 18 when tragedy struck.

After Rakesh lost control over the car he was driving, it moved erratically, and hit two cars and an auto rickshaw before plowing into a roadside electric pole and then jumping into agricultural field. Rakesh, who suffered grievous inujries in the accident, was shifted to hospital by policemen. Minister, Ramanath Rai, who was passing by the road, visited the spot and instructed officials to take immediate relief measures.

The traffic police revealed that Rakesh had already lost his life on the spot of accident due to excessive bleeding. A case stands registered in the traffic police station here about the accident.
