Puttur: 'Suddi Bidugade' journalists end stir based on assurances

Puttur, Nov 15: Three journalists of the town-based newspaper, 'Suddi Bidugade', who had been holding protests by way of protest demonstration since the last several days, withdrew their agitation on Tuesday November 14. They had been claiming that they had been made victims of false cases backed by fake evidences.

Reporters of 'Suddi Bidugade' publication, Lokesh Bannur, Sheikh Zainuddin Nellikatte and Narayana Naik Ammunje, members of the taluk journalists union, had been holding a protest seeking justice near Patrika Bhavan here since the last few days.

The stir had temporarily suspended on Saturday and Sunday and resumed on Monday. The journalists said that they had decided to withdraw the stir on Tuesday afternoon based on promises made by leaders of some organizations, institutions and political leaders who met them to withdraw the fake case based on false evidences hoisted against their organization.
