Mangaluru, Nov 11: Centre for ethics, Yenepoya University will organise the 5th annual conference of International Association of Education in Ethics (IAEE) from November 15 to 17, informed Dr Vina Vaswani, organising secretary, IAEE.
Addressing media here on Saturday, November 11, Dr Vina Vaswani said, "Former Lokayukta Dr N Santhosh Hegde will be the chief guest, director of Institute of Ethics Dublin University, Ireland, Prof Dr Bert Gordijn, vice-chancellor of Yenepoya University Prof Dr M Vijayakumar and chancellor of Yenepoya University Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi will be the guest of honor.
“The conference has been awarded credit points by Karnataka Medical Council and Karnataka State Dental Council. There will be eight keynote speakers of national and international repute. Delegates from more than 10 countries will attend the conference. It will be a platform for serious ethical discussions for delegates from USA, Ireland, Turkey, Italy, Philippines, Indonesia, South Africa and Australia.
"Along with the main conference, the Centre of Ethics will organise two pre-conference workshops. On November 13, there is a pre-conference workshop for international and national students interested in ethics. There will be an open lecture on challenges to school education in the 21st century which will be delivered by Kavitha Bhupta Ghosh, the author of bestselling novel 'Wanted: Back bencher, last ranker teacher'," she said.
