Madikeri, Nov 3: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team,which began its probe into suicide committed by deputy superintendent of police (DySP), M K Ganapati, in the town, visited Kodagu district. Five officials of the agency filed an application in the JMFC court here on Thursday November 2, seeking documents.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had filed 'B' report relating to the case in this particular court. Parents of Ganapati, as well as his brother and sister, had filed applications to consider them also as parties in the case. The court had agreed to consider their application.
The case is being heard. But, judge of the court, Hanumantappa, noted that records of the case are in the district sessions court and asked the officials to file application there. Thereafter, CBI officials filed application in that court.
The CBI officials refused to divulge any information about the probe. They had visited the house of Ganapati near Kushalnagar in the district two days back and had held discussions with Ganapati's father, Kushalappa, and brother, Satish Machaiah, it is gathered.
