Beltangady, Nov 3: In a complaint addressed to senior police officials, a lady lecturer of a college has accused police sub-inspector,Ravi, of addressing her in singular and mentally torturing her.
The complainant said that she was travelling by a two-wheeler when the sub-inspector wanted to check documents of her two-wheeler. She has claimed that although all the documents were in order, the sub-inspector, who was checking vehicles, talked in a way that was insulting to her. Although there was nothing wrong, he also asked her to pay fine. She has wondered what the behaviour of the police official would be like with common people, considering that he behaved in such a way with an educated lady.
Claiming that she had undergone mental trauma because of misbehaviour of the sub-inspector, the lady has approached director general of police, district superintendent of police, police circle inspector, MLA, and chairperson of Karnataka State Women's Commission seeking to redress her grievance. She also has provided CCTV footage of the incident.
