Udupi, Oct 30: District president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, ilas Nayak, said that the responsibility of extending hospitality to saints and Swamijis who will take part in the 'Dharma Sansad' programme being held here will be entrusted to a team of over a thousand Prabandhaks (managers).
Delivering introdudctory address at the Dharma Sansad preliminary meet and conference of Dharma Sansad volunteers held on Sunday October 29 at the Dharma Sansad office here, he explained that the convention of 'Dharma Sansad', Hindu Samajotsava and conference of religious personalities will be organized at MGM ground and Royal Garden and that an action plan has been prepared for the same. He requested Hindus living in the town to actively get involved with these activities.
Nayak felt that the 'Dharma Sansad' programme being held here with the aim of realizing the dream of building a grand temple for Lord Rama at Ayodhya will prove to be a grand success. He stated that this programme will be an important stage towards making the fifth Paryaya period of Pejawar Swamiji memorable.
"An exhibition to reflect Indian culture conceptualized on the lines of Hindu splendour will be organized on this occasion. Stalwarts like Ravishankar Guruji, Baba Ramdev, Mata Amritanandamayi and Yogi Adityanath, will be taking part in 'Dharma Sansad'," he revealed.
Former MLA, Raghupati Bhat, called upon citizens to work to hold this programme in such a way that it should become a model for others to emulate. He requested volunteers to work with dedication, duty consciousness, and selflessness.
City BJP president, Prabhakar Poojary, Yuva Morcha district president, Shreesha Nayak, zilla panchayat president, Dinkar Babu, municipal councillor, Harish Ram Bannanje, former municipal president, Herga Dinkar Shetty, Baikady Suprasad Shetty and other BJP and Hindu leaders were present.
