Mangaluru, Oct 28: Students from different schools in the city and members of Mangala Swimming Club, here recently brought home eleven gold, ten silver and seven bronze medals from the state level swimming competition held by department of Public Instruction.
The competition was held at Basavanagudi Swimming Pool, Bengaluru.
Nine students are selected for the inter-school national-level swimming competition by School Games Federation of India to be held in November, at Jawarlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The students also took part in national level swimming competition held by Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bengaluru and won two gold and two silver medals there.
The swimmers are being trained by chief trainer of Mangala Swimming Club Loknath Vitla, and assistant trainers M Shivananda Gatty, Pundalik Kharvi, Shishir S Gati, Vikesh, Gavin Soans and Nishal Shetty at Mangaluru Corporation swimming pool and St Aloysius College swimming pool.
