Bengaluru: Beggars sleeping on pavement killed by crushing heads with boulder

Bengaluru, Oct 23: In a gory incident which happened at Hoskote in the city rural district, two beggars, who were asleep by the roadside, were found to have been killed by dropping boulders on their heads. The murders came to light on Monday October 23 morning.

The murders happened at KEB Circle, Hoskote. It is said that one of those killed in this fashion was Ramesh (36), son of Muninarayanappa from Hoskote town. The other beggar, a woman aged about 35, remains unidentified.

It is believed that the killings took place between 2 and 3 am on Monday. Hoskote police visited the spot and took steps for registration of a case besides postmortem of the body and undertaking investigation. So far there is no clue as to why the sleeping beggars were done to death and by whom.
