Mangaluru, Oct 16: Mudra Promotion Campaign was inaugurated by Union ministers Ananth Kumar, minister for chemicals and fertilizers and parliamentary affairs, and Ananth Kumar Hegde, minister for skill development at Town Hall on Monday, October 16.
Addressing the gathering, minister Ananth Kumar said, “As many as 8.4 crore people have already benefited using Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). Karnataka stands first in utilizing the facility. People from the coastal region here have showed more interest in the Mudra loans. They all are praising prime minister Narendra Modi led government. This government set a world record by disturbing financial help for self employment.”
“Various governments govern states in the country. But without discrimination, the Modi led government is distributing financial aid and loans. Karnataka is ruled by Congress. But, Modi never stopped any aid for our state. He provided all help to new entrepreneurs and small scale industries. Because of his contribution, today Karnataka stands in number one in development,” he added.
“The beneficiaries should utilize the amount in a useful way. It is given to them for their personal and the nation’s development by PM Narendra Modi. Today, generic medical shops are functioning all over the country. This was Modi’s plan to help poor people and to stop their exploitation by private medical shops and drug mafia. Beside this, hundreds of other plans have been introduced for the betterment of people. Everyone should make use of these plans,” he concluded.
Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde said, “Prime minister Narendra Modi gave the Mudra plan to the nation with a vision. It is for the betterment of every individual, families and society. At the same time, it is a loan and not a grant. So the beneficiaries should keep in mind that they should repay it.”
“The government is ready to provide all kind of help to new and upcoming entrepreneurs. Their success is very essential for the growth of our nation. Many people dream about big industries. But, small scale industries will give more profit. Global market trends do not affect these industries. Hence, the nation wants more small scale industries. The government will always back these types of businesses,” he added.
“Today's young generation is looking for certificates. They are unaware of skills. Colleges and universities are also not interested to provide skill based training to students. This should stop and our youth s should concentrate on skill based education and entrepreneurship,” he concluded.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel presided over the programme. He said “Modi government has won the hearts of people with his visionary plans and development projects. Coming to power, he established three major programmes like Make in India, Skill India and Mudra Schemes. Dakshina Kannada district has welcomed these plans in a positive manner and thus it stands number one in utilizing prime minister’s major projects.”
“People from the district want to be part of the development plans of the central government. So I request all the bankers to support people who look forward to avail their services. Do not hold their loans for minor issues,” he added.
