Mangaluru: WhatsApp message on Agrigold fraud - DC office clarifies

Mangaluru, Oct 15: A press statement has been issued by the office of Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner (DC) by way of clarification has stressed that a WhatsApp message in circulation, which has advised depositors and investors, who have lost their money invested in Agrigold Company, to contact the office of the district deputy commissioner for more details and records pertaining to repayment of money to them by the said company, is false and misleading.

The offie said that it has been receiving numerous calls from people on this issue because of misleading information conveyed by the above WhatsApp message. It said that there is no instructions to the office about money remitted on behalf of Agrigold to anyone.

The office of the DC added that the city police commissioner has been already requested to take action against the persons who are confusing people through such messages. The press statement issued by the office has requested people not to get confused and not to believe in this false information.

    Yes there are many such companies out there still fooling people and people falling trap for such fraud.
    I just would like every reader to kindly make people aware by every means about such fraud investments or companies which offer returns more than the banks or government approved.
    If such offers are made, the police should be immediately informed.
    Look at how people who have invested in City Limousine and Pan Card Club are suffering and many have committed suicide due losses suffered by investing their life earnings or retirement money.
    Such companies have no products to show but offer good returns which is itself a doubt
