Bengaluru, Oct 13: Bengaluru-based art designer Baadal Nanjundaswamy is famous for protesting against civic issues using art. On Friday October 13, he transformed a muddy waterlogged pothole near Cubbon Park Junction area into a turquoise coloured pool.
What was even more eye-catching was actress Sonu Gowda dressed as mermaid, sitting next to the pool.
"Some five deaths have taken place because of potholes. Potholes are a problem. I am just highlighting the issue. I want the government to fix the problem," Baadal told media persons.
Baadal’s artwork comes shortly after CM Siddaramaiah asked BBMP to fix over 15,000 potholes in the city.
Baadal has often hit headlines with his creative art works. In 2015, he created a crocodile pond from a pothole on Sulthanpalya Main Road and placed a fake crocodile in it. This got BBMP to address the issue the very same day.
Not just that, he had also gone on a spree of drawing Bakasuras around open manholes, which too caught the limelight.
The talented artist has been the art director for popular movies Lucia, Lifeu Ishtene, Prakruthi and Police Quarter among others.
