Puttur, Oct 10: "Protest demonstrations and meetings aimed at condemning the government will be held at a time between 11 am and 12 pm in over a hundred centres across Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday October 11. These measures are being undertaken to register anger at the state government's initiatives of oppressing Hindus and committing atrocities on them," stated local area Gau Raksha Pramukh, Muralikrishna Hasantadka. He added that the programme is being held under the aegis of Hindu Jagran Vedike and Vishwa Hindu Parishad
"The government is not issuing permission to Hindus to organize pro-Hindu movements. Cases are being registered against those who try to stop cattle trafficking or Love Jihad. Although B C Road has emerged as the breeding ground for communalists, notices are served for the externment of Hindu leaders. Protests are being held on all these issues," he explained.
He said that between 100 and 150 activists will take part in the protest in each of these centres. "Protests will be held at eight spots in Sullia taluk, 21 in Bantwal, 18 in Beltangady, four in Venoor, 13 in Puttur, four in Moodbidri and 32 in Mangaluru - Ullal area," he explained.
Ajit Rai, Sridhar Tenkila, Krishnaprasad and Chinmay were present at the press conference.
