Mumbai: Bharath Co-operative Bank opens bill payment across counter

Mumbai, Sep 27: Bharath Co-operative Bank on September 16 launched a 'bill payment across counter'. Jaya C Suvarna, chairman of the bank launched this new service by paying the electricity bill.

Any person (including customers) can now make payment of bills such as electricity, gas, landline, DTH etc across the counter for all the branches of Bharath Bank.

This service is offered free of cost and utilizes the BBPS (Bharat Bill Payment System) facility of NPCI. Bills can be paid in cash or through cheques.

This is in addition to the online bill payment options provided to customers through Chillr app.
