Kadaba: Heavy rains flood roads, public faces inconvenience

Daijiworld Media Network – Kadaba (MS)

Kadaba, Oct 24: A downpour lasting one and a half hours on Wednesday evening caused significant waterlogging in Kadaba and surrounding areas, creating difficulties for pedestrians and vehicle riders due to stagnant water.

In addition to rural roads, water flowed over the main roads of the town. The area near Kadaba College turned into a pool, while water also entered the campus of Kadaba Community Hospital and nearby lodges. Water from overflowing drains flooded the hospital compound.

The main road of Mardala market and the road connecting the government school were also inundated. Low-lying paddy fields and farmlands were flooded as well.

Heavy winds during the rainstorm blew off sheets installed around the ground for a sports meet at St Jochim Educational Institution in Kadaba, forcing the event to be called off. A tree branch fell on a flower shop near the police station, causing extensive damage.
