Bengaluru, Sep 5: Condemning the incidents of killing of youngsters connected with Hindu organizations, BJP Yuva Morcha has launched 'Mangaluru Chalo' motor bike rally for which permission has been denied. As the BJP activists are hell bent on going ahead with the bike rally as planned earlier, the police are facing a huge challenge of maintaining law and order situation.
In this backdrop, it is said that the police have approached BJP state president, Yeddyurappa, with a request not to venture out of his home for the present.
Yeddyurappa is currently in his residence at Dollars Colony here. He was to flag off the bike rally of BJP activists at Freedom Park at 10.30 am on Tuesday. It is said that the police are worried about the prospects of overcrowding if Yeddyurappa takes part in the programme. Therefore, it is said, he has been requested to stay put in his house.
