Bengaluru, Aug 31: One of the top football academies in Bengaluru and South India, Bangalore Premier Soccer School (BPSS) won the 4th All India Under-16 (5-a-side) Football Tournament played on August 26-27 at the Central College grounds. They beat Magic Feet in the final by 2-1 in an exciting match watched by a record crowd.
In the semi finals, Magic Feet beat Freedom Football Academy and in the second semi final, Hubballi fell to eventual champions BPSS in a tough encounter.
In all, 64 top teams from all over the country took part with teams coming in from Gurgaon, Bhopal, Pune, Hubballi, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Mangaluru apart from Bengaluru teams. Top academies like BPPS, BOCA, STAR F A, CRESCENT F A, MAHAGONY and so many other teams belonging to various schools took part in the prestigious
tournament. A record number of under-16 players (more than 700 players from 64 teams) enjoyed every bit of the well organized tournament.
Played in perfect conditions, each and every match turned out to be well fought with the youngsters exhibiting their skills in great fashion. The tournament organized by Denz Foundation of Bengaluru since 2014 has given an opportunity for many youngsters to grow and play at the national level.
On the second day, there was also the 2nd All India Women’s Football tournament which was won by Mangalore Football Club (RFC) who beat Boca of Bengaluru.
An elated chairman of Denz Foundation, Denzil Foundation said, “We are happy to see the young footballers showing their high level of football skills. Some of these boys have played in all our tournaments from 2014 and are excited to be here. At least a few have gone to play on the national level.”

Best goalkeeper Muskan (RFC), Best Forward: Vanitha (Magic Feet), Best Defender: Palak (Boca), Player of the Final: Simran (MFC), Player of the Tournament: Melita (RFC)
Former India women’s football star and international cyclist Sarala Swamy along cricket coach of Royal Cricket Club, H Vishwanath were the chief guests and gave away the glittering trophies and medals to the various winners.

BPPS beat Magic Feet in the final, Third place: St. Anthony’s, Hubballi, Fourth place: Freedom Football Academy.
