Mangaluru, Aug 11: Blood Helpline Karnataka (R) on August 6 celebrated its first anniversary at Forum Fiza mall here.
Ustad Abdul Aziz Darimi after invoking almighty’s blessings kick-started the blood donation campaign.
Minister for Food and Public Distribution in Karnataka U T Khader said, “Blood Helpine Karnataka members have shown what youth can accomplish together. This should grow and become nationally famous in ten years."
MLAs B A Mohiuddin and J R Lobo praised the work done by Blood Helpine Karnataka.
Mangalore University’s Prof Pattabhirama Somayaji, president of Muslim Okkuta K Ashraf and others were present.
About the organization
Blood Help Line Karnataka, one of India's largest and most modern blood banks is striving to bring a change in Indian blood banking. About 1000 volunteers donate blood every year and this is on the rise phenomenally. They serve more than 500 patients with about 1000 blood components per annum 'without replacement'. They reach out to people across the country.
