They have blended very well with the native culture of Maharastra, in leading disciplined life in the metro. The state administration stands committed to provide security to all its residents regardless of caste and creed at par with rest of citizens.
Mumbai boasts of having schools of 14 state languages in the world. Maharastra has been continuously ruled by Congress since many years while the native DK people settled in metro ought to urge their relatives in native villages to restore Congress legacy in the Karnataka”, said Vilasrao Deshmukh, chief minister of Maharastra and former observer of Congress (I) in Karnataka.
He was addressing the gathering during the discussion meet of Indian All Hotel and Restaurant Association, which was held on Thursday May 8 night, at Hotel Krishna Palace, located at Nana Chowk, in the metro.
Union minister of state for labour Oscar Fernandes was the chief guest of the occasion while Maharastra state medical education minister Suresh Shetty, Blossom Fernandes, All India Billava Association president Jaya C Suvarna, MLA K Jagannat Shetty, Bombay Bunts Association president Advocate Ashok D Shetty were the guests of honour present at the occasion.
“India would make its presence felt in global economic scene. It’s the only country in the world which emphasizes the need to serve the country by Indians settled abroad for the prosperity of all the citizens. At the forthcoming Legislative Assembly polls, it’s the duty of every native Mumbaikar settled in the metro, to urge his kith and kin in their native villages to vote for Congress, in order to bring the party into power”, said Oscar Fernandes.
Bunts Sangh past president Sudhakar S Hegde, Billava Association Mumbai vice president V R Kotian, Congress leader Felix A D’Souza, Bombay Catholic Sabha president Dolphy D’Souza, Navi Mumbai social worker Santosh D Shetty including office bearers of Devadiga, Kulal, GSB, Mogaveer and other Kannadiga Associations were present at the occasion.
AHAR president Chandrahas K Shetty welcomed the gathering. Bunts Sangh Mumbai president Dr Padmanabha V Shetty delivered the introductory address.
