Raichur: Farmer woes- Youth writes letter in Kannada to PM using blood

Raichur, Jul 19: A young man has written a letter in Kannada to the Prime Minister (PM) of India, Narendra Modi, explaining the woes of farmers. He has used his blood as ink to write this 6 pages letter in two sets.

Ravi Gowda from Mallada Gudda near here is the youth who wrote this letter. In addition to explaining the woes of farmers, the letter intends to attract youth to the field of farming.

Ravi Gowda presently studies in second year PUC. His father, an ordinary farmer, owns two acres of land.

Ravi has explained the difficulties the farmers face presently in Karnataka. The reason to write the letter to the PM, as per Ravi is, no attention has been paid to the illegal irrigation from Tunga Badra water reservoir despite many complaints to local authorities.

“I felt only blood can explain the seriousness of the matter. I am confident that PM will respond to my letter.” Ravi said.

The letter was dispatched on July 17.

    Those who raise to the seat of power by letting blood of innocent people of this nation can hardly understand the value of each drop of blood.
    If one analyse the recent history of BJP ruled state of Madhya Pradesh where protesting farmers are emptied with bullets. In Delhi Tamil Nadu farmers are drinking their own urine in protest from months but their vows not reaching to the administrative power.
    But government is adamant to rule of power on corporates wealth hardly values the sweat of the farmer which feeds this nation.
    The country which once self sustained agriculture need for the people of this nation under Lal Bahadur Shastri when India is at war with Pakistan now importing African Dal under PM Modi.
    Jai Jawan Jai Kisan enthused farmers of the past now helplessly looking at the skies with can of poison and ending their life each day.

    Sir,Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh on Wednesday said as many as 11,400 farmers committed suicide in 2016.

    “According to National Crime Records Bureau data for 2016, which is yet to be published, 11,400 farmers committed suicide. In 2015, the number was 12,602,” he said in his reply after a discussion in the Lok Sabha on the agrarian crisis.

    He said farmers suicides could be checked only by increasing their income and the government was taking necessary steps, including increase in budgetary allocations to the agriculture sector.

    This is the grim situation of the nation under PM Modi which run by capitalist oriented corporate lobby. The state like Punjab once know as 'food basket of India' the youth are turned to drugs during SAD-BJP alliance for 10 years. If Monsoon consistently fails India may risk of depend on food grain in the future.

    If that is the case, there could be Millions of people to follow similar path of writing to PM with their problems, difficulties and especially, current situation all around the Country. Just keep a watch. I am not pessimistic. If materialize well & well.

    Farmers, youth welfare, students, soldiers life, women safety, middle-class people, democracy are NOT priority issues for BJP govt.

    Burdened with loans, rising farmer suicides continue to plague our nation while BJP's anti-farmer policies worsen the situation.

    I have heard so many people writing few love words in blood to appease their girl friends. Rajesh khanna used to have Fanfolloing who offen wrote beautiful words in blood. May be this farmer is under the impression that PM would be impressed and shall do something. I doubt!

    Congress in the state offered to waive 50% loan of farmers, if the central govt. agrees to take up other 50%. Your so caring govt had money to election expected Bihar but Karnataka had to wait in vain. Step motherly treatment for Congress ruled states.

    Who steals the water from Tungabhadra ? The same people who tore opened the mother earth to extract so much ore illegally that the land mass in that region is all naked sans any vegetation on it. How can the PM stop those who are very much active in his party ?

    Well, by writing to the PM, the case has come to the fore. Let the nation know, how the influential people use the water (stored by peoples' expenses for public use), for their private projects. Beyond this, I don't think anything more will happen.

    Though I may be wrong..., who knows..., as the election nears..., probably ..., these kind of stage managed theatrics are on the rise...,

    On the other hand .., in our DK the politicians are waiting to shed innocents blood on the streets to fulfill their lust for political power...,

    That's why the state local bodies dint listen to him that he had to write to center. In that case why don't state give powers to center to solve the problem ? If khangress cannot solve peoples issue and people have to write to Modi, let there be president rule in the state and let Modi solve the problems then.

    Excited about Digital India in 2016, I wanted to make our society Brindavan a free WiFi Hotspot Zone.
    While we were installing WiFi Routers in the Society, Mr. Milind Patankar (BJP Corporater) stopped me & asked me with whose permission I was installing. I told him about PM & Digital India, he said a big NO.
    Totally frustrated I wrote to PM Narendra Modi & I am still waiting ...
