Mangaluru: St Aloysius PU College inaugurates Students’ Council

Mangaluru, Jun 26: “Leadership is an opportunity for greatness,” remarked Ivan D’Souza, chief whip, Karnataka Legislative Council, in his address as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Students’ Council of St Aloysius PU College. The ceremony was held at the Loyola Hall on June 24.

Ivan D'Souza urged the newly elected Students’ Council to work hard and to put their efforts into developing their best potential as they are the cream of society, the future makers.



While the rector of St Aloysius College Institutions, Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ urged the student leaders to be passionate, compassionate and inspirational, the principal Fr Melwin Mendonca SJ motivated them to be the catalysts of change in others’ life. Newly elected Students’ Council president Sushaan K Attavar, secretary Calvin Anthony Lobo and joint secretary Samyami Rai were felicitated and sworn in as leaders along with the newly elected Students’ Council, motivating them to ‘Ignite Passions and Inspire Change’.

The vice principal and the director of the Students’ Council Charlotte D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Associate director Reena J Monteiro proposed the vote of thanks.

Mansi Nambiar compered the programme. The assistant director, Dr Ganesh Amin, the associate directors Dr Pradeep M and Kiran Shetty were present on the dais.
