Bantwal, Jun 19: BJP scheduled castes Morcha's Dakshina Kannada district president, Dinesh Amtoor, filed a complaint in the town police station today, against district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai. In his complaint, Dinesh has mentioned about the controversial remarks made by the minister, duly asking the superintendent of police in the district to arrest Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
Amtoor said that Rai should be investigated for making provocative and libelous statements.
In the meanwhile, responding to the incident, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said that such words should not have been uttered by a minister occupying a responsible position. In response to instruction passed by Rai to superintendent of police to arrest him by filing murder attempt case, Bhat reminded Rai that the latter is in an esteemed position from where he is expected to guide the people on the right path, not just an in-charge minster expected to repair roads.
"In spite of the stature of the person about whom we are speaking, we should give them respect even if they are beggars. I do not take this as an insult to me, but by this act, the minister has insulted himself," he stated. He said that although he is not as big as Rai in stature, he has the dignity. "People in such positions should stay away from addressing others in singular, passing instruction to imprison others, and incite government officers to indulge in wrong things. This falls under political freedom," he noted.
Bhat feels that this is a conspiracy to corner votes from innocent Muslims in a clandestine manner. He noted that actual murder accused have not been arrested in Karopady murder incident, and that Muslim youngsters have been nursing a feeling that Rai is behind this incident. Perhaps Rai feels that he would be able to appease Muslims who are arrested in connection with Kalladka incidents by addressing me in singular," he analyzed.
