Bengaluru, Jun 14: St Joseph's Institute of Management (SJIM) Bangalore has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) Global and Seattle University to identify, encourage and develop SJIM students who show a flair for entrepreneurship.
This MoU is one in a series of Industry Academia Interface programs that SJIM is pursuing to equip their management students with industry-ready skills.
As part of this initiative, Kanara Entrepreneurs will conduct workshops, conferences, seminars and other activities to advance students’ entrepreneurship acumen.
Promising students identified through these programs will be provided access to Kanara Entrepreneurs’ rich membership base. Students will benefit both from potential mentoring by established entrepreneurs, as well as through financing of select startups.
Fr Manoj D'Souza, Executive Director of SJIM, commenting about the initiative said, ''Traditional MBA jobs will soon become outdated or automated. Therefore, we believe in equipping our students to compete in the internet economy."
''SJIM wants to prepare our students with cutting edge competencies to begin the next great startup right here in Bangalore. So we are very excited about our MoU with Kanara Entrepreneurs," Fr D’Souza said.
