Brazil under-23 international Luan was also on target while midfielder Michel bagged a brace, including a stunning shot from the edge of the halfway circle on Thursday, reports Xinhua news agency.
Luiz Antonio, Reinaldo and Arthur Caike were on the scoresheet for the hosts.
The result at Conda Arena left Gremio with 12 points, just a point behind leaders Corinthians. Chapecoense dropped to fifth, three points off the pace.
