Kuwait, Apr 11: The Kuwait chapter of St. Aloysius College Alumni Association held its first quarterly meeting at the Indian Community School, Amman Branch on 20th March 2008. The first Quarterly General Body meeting was hosted by the newly elected executive committee.
Aloysian alumnae gathered at the venue during the social hour to catch up with old friends and network with fellow alumni members. This was followed by the quarterly meeting led Denzil D’sa, President – SACAA KUWAIT, where various topics related to the alumni were presented and discussed. Some of the highlights of the meeting were:

Rendezvous - ’08
Kiran Rao, Jt. Secretary – Member Affairs highlighted the list of activities and tasks gearing towards the gala dinner dance event – Rendezvous ’08 which will be held on 17th of April at Kuwait Sea Sports Club, Salmiya, 7pm onwards. He urged the alumni to come forward and actively participate in contributing to the success of the event. Passes for the event are available with the committee members on first come first basis.
This year the funds raised strive to sponsor the education of maximum number of marginalized children who toil for a meager pay during the day and burn the midnight oil at the non-funded St. Aloysius Evening High School in the hope of securing a better life. In addition to this, we also aim to sponsor the education cost of the youth who enroll in the Industrial and Technical Training Institute to learn a trade that they can bank on to support their livelihood.
Denzil along with Prashantha Pais (Secretary, Member Affairs) welcomed the new members and encouraged fellow aloysians in Kuwait to register and network with the Alumni.
The meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Reshma Correa, General Secretary, extending gratitude to fellow alumnus Archie Menezes, Indian Community School and to the sumptuous snacks and beverages catered by M&M confectionaries. She also thanked all the members in attendance whose association and commitment to fellow members and the alumni is commendable.
