M'luru: Mount Carmel holds orientation programme for class XI freshers

Mangaluru, Jun 7: Mount Carmel Senior Secondary Section – class XI reopened with an orientation programme for the students along with their parents on Wednesday, June 7. The principal welcomed the freshers, their parents and chief guest Dr Ananth Prabhu, advisor of Vikas P U College.

Dr Ananth Prabhu strongly motivated the students and spoke about the various competitive entrance examinations. He challenged the young students with the formula for success namely – focus, self motivation, the conscious direction of time, quality of concentration, and the hard work to a minimum of 6 hours  per day – 3 hours in the mornings and 3 in the evenings with a break of 10 minutes each hour for better assimilation.

He stressed that the board exam was the foundation for all the competitive exams.


    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sr Carissima, the administrator reinforced the three-rule formula for success, as being the base line through one’s educational pursuits. She assured the students that with faith in the Almighty’s blessings and confident hope in their future, they would take the right path in their life.
 
The principal briefed the students on the rules and regulations of the school and the opportunities the school offers to groom them in academics and other activities and help to face ups and downs of life with calmness of heart and mind.

She also introduced the members of the faculty of senior secondary section to the new comers.
 
The programme was compered by Agnes Pereira, lecturer in Computer Science. Pamela D’Souza, lecturer of English language delivered the vote of thanks.
